Iliya Chichkan Solo exhibition 07.03. – 31.05.03

This serie marks a turning point in the artist’s painting but can be enlarged to other aspects of Chichkans works.

The subjects depicted in the painting exhale a “Neo Nouvelle Vague” taste in the fact that they're based on real life and personal experiences but also in their concentration on emotions rather than on abstract or intellectual concerns.

The artist inspires himself through this serie of situations he personally experienced and the clashes they provoked in his unconsciousness. He defines them as “Flash Backs”.
